Your privacy, handled with care.
How we handle the details you share with us.
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Manjal Events (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides premium photo booth experiences and keepsakes for weddings and celebrations. This policy explains how we handle the information you share with us, and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions (in particular clause 8, Data Protection), which govern our services.
We handle all information in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Manjal Events is responsible for the information described in this policy. If you have any questions, please contact us at admin@manjalevents.com.
2. What we retain
We do not hold personal data. We only retain the details of your event and its logistics — such as the event date, venue, package and timings — for the purpose of delivering our services.
In practice, this means we keep the event and logistics information you provide when you enquire or book, including:
- Your event details — event type, date and venue
- The package and any extras you are interested in
- Your event timings, setup requirements and on-the-day logistics
- Any planning notes needed to deliver your event
Where you contact us, we use the contact details you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and to deliver the service you have booked. We do not use them for any other purpose, and we do not sell them.
3. Photographs at your event
Where we provide a photo booth at your event, we capture and process photographs of you and your guests. Depending on the package you choose, we may also print photographs at the event, create keepsakes such as magnets or personalised guest books, and make images available to guests digitally (for example, via a QR code gallery link).
We do not ask guests for any details to use the photo booth. Guests who choose to take part do so voluntarily.
Unless you tell us otherwise in writing before your event, we may use photographs from your event in our portfolio, social media or other marketing, as set out in clause 6.5 of our Terms & Conditions. You may opt out at any time by contacting us at admin@manjalevents.com, and we will stop using your images.
4. How we use what we retain
We use the event and logistics details we hold to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
- Manage your booking and deliver our services at your event
- Provide your photographs and keepsakes
- Take payment and keep appropriate financial records
- Contact you about your event — for example, confirming details or sending your gallery
5. Our lawful bases for processing
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract — to provide the services you have booked, including taking payment and delivering your photographs and keepsakes.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry, run our business and improve our services. Where we rely on this, we balance our interests against your rights and freedoms.
- Consent — for anything optional, such as using your event photographs in our marketing or portfolio. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep records, for example for tax purposes.
6. Sharing information
We only share information where necessary, and never for others’ marketing purposes. We may share it with:
- Trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting, email and photo-gallery providers. They only process information on our instructions.
- Professional advisers where necessary, such as our accountant.
- Authorities where we are legally required to do so.
7. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become bookings — kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Booking and event records — kept for up to 6 years after your event, to meet our accounting and legal obligations.
- Photographs — kept for up to 12 months after the event, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or agree we may keep them for our portfolio.
8. How we protect information
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep information secure. Our website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and we apply security controls to protect it. Access is limited to those who need it.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Ask us to delete your information, where there is no good reason for us to keep it
- Ask us to restrict how we use your information
- Object to certain processing, including direct marketing
- Ask for your information to be transferred to another organisation
- Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at admin@manjalevents.com. We will respond within one month.
10. Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We only use what is necessary for the site to work properly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “last updated” date above.
12. How to complain
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first at admin@manjalevents.com so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
